First up on our list is a longtime favorite of ours, Rancho Dos Pueblos in Santa Barbara. It takes the cake for its charming feel and we love the barn’s ability to perfectly transform to be as ideal a space for a rustic celebration as it is for an elegant and more formal affair. More brownie points for its proximately to the ocean!
Dating back to the 1800s as a dairy farm, Greengate Ranch & Vineyard has since been turned into a majestic barn + horse facility. The ranch/vineyard exclusively hosts one wedding each weekend, making this place an ideal retreat destination in San Luis Obispo. And what’s better than a weekend sipping wine by the sea?

The historic Santa Margarita Ranch is conveniently located just minutes from Highway 101 in the heart of San Luis Obispo County on California’s Central Coast. Built in 1904, this Victorian-style farmhouse is located in the heart of Hollywood. The Lombardi House is surrounded by fruit trees and gardens and sits within walking distance of all restaurants at Franklin Village, as well as Hollywood studios and theaters. 8. Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake, Washington
Nestled on 200 acres of stunning Washington farmland, the recently renovated and restored barn at Kelley Farm seriously defines the term rustic elegance. We LOVE that 300 hundred guests can fit comfortably within the barn’s historical walls for an unforgettable wedding. So perfect for a big guest list and an even bigger barnyard bash!

9. Tin Roof Barn in the Columbia River Gorge, Washington

What’s so great about The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park is that it gives you both a quintessential Colorado vibe (hello, darling log-cabin architecture) with a touch of rural charm thrown in for good measure. Located in the foothills just west of Denver, this venue is as convenient as it is secluded. And there are views, views, views as far as the eye can see!
Not only does Spain Ranch offer up the incredibly striking Black Barn (also featured in our Top 26 Coolest Places to Get Married), but they also have a crisp white one, too (aptly named The White Barn). Talk about striking contrasts! Whether you’re wanting to go for a rustic look, or modern minimalism, these spaces in Tulsa, Oklahoma can be totally transformed. Oh, and if those black and white barns aren’t eye-catching enough, imagine driving up a tree-lined road, stumbling out a large pond home to wildlife and fowl, and then being swept away by all the New England-style charm!
Replete with modern touches that all give off a sort of southern bohemian vibe, Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas makes our hearts go pitter-patter. From the weathered wood to the aged tin roof to the stained concrete floors deep in the Texas Hill Country, this place is rustic bohemian bridal chic at its finest.

We can all go ahead and be a little bit jealous of all the great barn options Texas couples have access to. But with that said, Montesino Ranch has a way of standing out from the pack…hence why we’ve included it on our list of the best! With its distinctive blend of rustic ranch architecture situated in a pocket of serene Hill Country landscape, this place has played backdrop to some of our favorite weddings to date. We can’t wait to see how future couples will make this property their own + host their big day on the ranch with style.
14. Prospect House in Dripping Springs, Texas
Thinking about a barn wedding, but want something more modern? The Prospect House in the Texas Hill Country features striking architecture set within prairie grasses, creating a gorgeous contrast. The gallery-like event space is abundant with natural light, has multiple outdoor sites to serve as beautiful backdrops, and with its minimal material palette—it can easily be transformed.
Not too far from DFW is The White Sparrow Wedding Barn. Located in Union Valley, Texas, this white barn’s rustic charm is framed by impressive oaks and lush gardens. The barn’s natural wood floors and white-washed walls offer an Old World elegance, and the spacious layout can comfortably accommodate a large guest list without sacrificing the intimate feel of countryside hospitality.

Barr Mansion is located in the heart of Austin, Texas with seven acres of organic gardens, beautiful landscapes, and thoughtfully designed buildings. The barn has huge glass windows which allow you to feel like you are outside when you are inside – such a rad space!

Our next barn venue is called The Enchanted Barn, and let us be the ones to tell you: it lives up to its name! It’s been selected three times by Martha Stewart Weddings as one of Wisconsin’s best and we adore its woodsy location + ultra-dreamy feel. Their website says it best, Imagine rays of sunlight filtering through cracks of weathered barn board. For Wisconsin couples, we think this space is tops.

Bloom Lake Barn is a short forty-mile drive from the Twin Cities and offers up the idyllic views of St. Croix Valley. Wooden harvest tables line the interior of the vaulted-ceiling barn, along with salvaged Gothic church windows, and gorgeous chandeliers. In case that wasn’t enough—the courtyard includes a spacious pavilion, bonfire pit, tree swing, lawn games, and a walking trail through the woods.
Tying the knot in Michigan, but yet to find the perfect venue? Hidden Vineyard Barn just might be exactly what you’ve been searching for! Situated on the grounds of a working farm in Southwestern Michigan, the barn’s scenic views, idyllic setting, and distinctive character have quickly launched the property to be one of the area’s premier wedding locations. And with just a quick peek at the pretty this place has to offer, it’s not too difficult to see why!
Since the owners of The Blue Dress Barn are both artist-designers, it’s no big surprise that this venue looks as perfect as it does! They’ve lovingly restored the historic dairy barn to feel both authentic and ideal for modern-day weddings. With the ability to fit 280 guests under its vast, open-timber roof, we can’t think of a better place to host a fun + memorable Midwest celebration.

The Barn in Zionsville is located on a family-owned farm in the beautiful countryside of Zionsville, Indiana. The family kept over 20 horses in the barn over the course of the past 20 years and then transformed it into a stunningly elegant venue for weddings! The Barn is completely open air which allows for a great breeze and lots of fresh air.

The Mountain Star Estate is a custom-designed barn that features all repurposed materials to offer you an organic, elegant ambiance with modern-day amenities. They offer lodging, ceremony, and reception all in one location – and include all of the necessary items required to host an epic event! They only host one wedding a week to ensure that every detail, no matter how minor, goes according to your specific vision. We are big fans of that!

At Marianmade Farm, you can bring incorporate a taste of Provence to your big day with their working flower and lavender farm. Nestled on the banks of the Sheepscot River, just outside of historic Wiscasset, Maine, this venue is full of charm with its waterfront outdoor ceremony site, timber frame event bar, and acres of natural beauty.

26. Stonover Farm in Lenox, Massachusetts
Stonover Farm looks like it’s straight out of a storybook with its detailed, blue-trimmed hay-barn and lush, manicured grounds. As if the setting couldn’t sound sweeter, we’d like to point out the charming duck pond (!), greenhouse + grand country inn (perfect for guest accommodations for the big day). Since they only host a few weddings each year, availability is extremely limited, only adding to this place’s appeal.

Just check out that sunset shot above, and it should be clear why Moody Mountain Farm in New Hampshire should be considered one of the best in the US! They reserve only one wedding per weekend so you can begin setting up on Thursday afternoon + can tackle your clean-up on Sunday morning! Flexibility can be worth its weight in gold (LOTS less stress + more time to make the property perfect) so if you’re thinking of tying the knot in New England, we think this place is worthy of a look!
If a classic red barn is what you picture for your wedding, be sure to consider Vermont’s West Monitor Barn. With stunning views of forests, fields + woodlands hills as far as the eye can see, your guests will feel transported to a tranquil place while celebrating with you on your big day! Our absolute favorite reason to rent the WMB is that all proceeds from the venue rental go towards funding Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC) programs, which employ over 300 young people to work on high-priority conservation and education projects across the state of Vermont each year. Amazing, right?!

30. Handsome Hollow in Long Eddy, New York (Catskills)
A 93-acre property hidden away in a quiet glen in the Catskills, Handsome Hollow is a beautifully restored 18th-century Amish barn. Perfect for rustic chic weddings or retreat destinations, this old dairy barn offers up fields, meadows, forests, and dreamy mountain views.

1860s dairy barn in Corning, New York, with a stone patio. Does it get any better than that? Situated in the lush, green landscape and surrounded by a forest of towering trees (which make the perfect backdrop!), the venue features chandeliers, heated floors, and even a gazebo. The Homestead Blessings’ barn can accommodate up to 120 guests, but for those wanting to have a larger wedding—there is a space for a reception tent outside!

This hayloft/barn sits on 18.8 well-manicured acres that span across rolling hills and views of the New York countryside, complete with a willow tree that sits next to the stream that borders the property. Vintage light posts guide the way to the parking area and there’s a large patio, convenient for the ceremony location or cocktail hour. In addition to the hayloft/barn, the chapel is a breathtaking feature.

A culinary vineyard in the heart of Virginia’s wine country…dreamy, right?! A breathtaking spot overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, Pippin Hill is a place where hearts sing and vines thrive. The way they do things there: local, fresh, season, and farm-to-table, making it a true experience. The new building’s design draws upon historic agricultural architecture, and it is thoroughly modernized for executing seamless events.
With its characteristic barn feel (srlsy, when we close our eyes and think ‘barn’ the picture that pops into our head looks an awful lot like Long Ridge Farm), this pretty venue features more luxurious amenities than one may assume. There’s a great room with fireplaces at both ends, a state-of-the-art kitchen, two bathrooms, and two upstairs furnished bedrooms (perfect for the bride + her ‘maids to get dressed). Aside from those essential stats, we adore its sweet Kentucky vibe and the fact that it can easily play backdrop to weddings of so many different styles.
Situated just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, The Barn at Chestnut Springs is an ideal countryside location to celebrate your big day. The classic + weathered gray wood barn has been beautifully restored to feature vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, elegant chandeliers, and stylish wall sconces. Looking for an authentic barn setting in Tennessee? We’ve found it for you with The Barn at High Point Farms! The large rustic pole barn has been transformed into a magical wedding venue strewn with lights and draped with large white curtains. (Sign us up!) The vast property – already styled with bits of antiques and one-of-a-kind decor – is ready for your finishing touch to turn it into the space you’ve been dreaming of.
37. Overlook Barn in Beech Mountain, North Carolina
Overlook Barn owners Katie & David bought the property in 2015 and lovingly renovated it for their own wedding. The star attraction on the property (besides the views) is their 6,500+ square foot renovated barn that is perched atop Beech Mountain. The barn has 30-foot arched ceilings with original exposed wood beams and is the epitome of upscale rustic elegance.

Do you love flowers? The Barn of Chapel Hill at Wild Flora Farm is located on a twenty-two-acre family flower farm and only 12 miles from downtown Chapel Hill, North Carolina. They specialize in garden-inspired weddings and the barn is the perfect blend of historic and modern. Built in 1864 in Marcy, New York, this historic barn was relocated to the farm in the fall of 2016. The incredible, hand-hewn hemlock beams of the original structure remain intact, with additional square footage added to fully modernize the space for farm events.
39. J & D Farms in Southside, Alabama
When we think of the quintessential southern barn wedding, a spot like J & D Farms comes to mind. A wedding at J & D means you are allowed access to the entire property – including the barn, the orchard, the gardens, pool terrace, carriage house backyard, and the carriage house itself! For a backdrop for celebrating something as special as your wedding, we promise this Dutch-style barn, with its reclaimed plank flooring and charming tin roof, won’t disappoint!
We love the streamlined look of the barn at The Wheeler House, built in 2012 to complement the property’s existing historical home. The perfect place to make your own, enjoy the space + comforts of this new build – like its bridal suite AND wing for the groomsmen! – but still feel the charm of this sweet Georgia property.

41. Sweet Meadow in Tallapoosa, Georgia
Last, but certainly not least, we have the barn at Sweet Meadow, conveniently located an hour outside of Atlanta. This working family farm is surrounded by pastoral farmland with stunning lake + mountain views. The turn-of-the-century barn couldn’t be more charming + would be the perfect place to celebrate your Georgia wedding!
