Abstract Santorini Wedding Inspiration

Isn’t it wild how you can find inspiration anywhere? Maria, the talented force behind Tie the Knot Santorini, is a fan of the combination of art and printed textiles, so her inspiration for this abstract art-inspired wedding seems almost serendipitous:

One day I was having a walk amongst the picturesque Santorini paths when I noticed the abstract, colorful prints on the dress I wore. The pattern complemented the warm Santorini colors so nicely and I thought it would look amazing as a wedding backdrop! So I shared the idea with my dear friend (and super talented photographer) Nisha Ravi and she loved it!

The colors and designs bring to mind Salvation Mountain—and the popular man-made destination influenced the creation of the ceremony aisle.

There is much to love about the art-inspired wedding day so let’s dive into the details!

First, a Pop of Pink

Bougainvillea BouquetThe day began at the perfect canvas location— the gorgeous secluded villa of Akrorama. The perfect spot for a pop of pink in the form of a gorgeous bougainvillea bouquet!
